Chronic Bronchitis
The only salt inhaler with controlled emission of aerosols for the treatment of respiratory diseases.

Acute Bronchitis is an infectious disease of the larger bronchi (medium-size airways) and is characterised by inflammation and an increased volume of bronchial secretion i.e phlegm. The inflammation together with the large quantity of mucus produced increases coughing and hampers breathing.

Bronchitis is caused by infection and exacerbated by environmental factors such as low temperature or high humidity, breathing cigarette smoke, atmospheric pollution or several chronic conditions which have an effect on immunity (e.g. Cystic Fibrosis and certain immunoglobulin deficits, etc.)
Acute Bronchitis manifests itself as a cough that may evolve from its simple form to a wet cough with productive expectoration.

In more severe cases, fever or difficult breathing may occur

When used as an adjunct therapy the SaltMed inhaler through its controlled flux of saline dry aerosols ensures:

- An immediate calming effect on coughing by decreasing the inflammation at the airway level
- Increased productivity of cough (a more efficient cough) by improving phlegm fluidisation and its subsequent elimination
- Increased bactericidal and bacteriostatic effects leading to improved local defense mechanisms and reduced likelihood of bronchitic episode reoccurrences.
